All the numbers, all the achievements, all the accolades that any political party, any business house or corporation, any spiritual organization can have is because the people who execute the mission, which is why when I talk of leaders of change, I talk of daring, I talk of caring and third word that comes to my mind when I talk about leaders is sharing. When we are daring and caring, resources come. When we are dating and caring, exponential growth becomes a consequence. And when we do have all of these resources, I don’t think any subordinate has a problem that we have a lot, subordinates have a problem and we don’t share a lot. Vic will have a visceral hatred. Subordinates have a visceral hatred for guys who are simply filling their pockets. People have tremendous respect, affection and love for leaders who are willing to share what they have to make a difference in the lives of the subordinates and to make a difference in the lives of the world at large.

Our late president of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he once said a very nice thing. He said,

If you truly want to be handsome, it’s not so much about your looks, is that if you truly want to be handsome, extend your hand to some and you will automatically be seen handsome in the eyes of the world.

It’s not about the looks, but how we share and make an impact and a difference in the lives of people. So yes, when I talk about leaders of change, these are the three words that ring in my mind, daring to let go of our wisdom, our experience, our know-how, our skill without feeling that insecurity what happens to me. Caring, by investing, not just in resources but in people because these are the people on the ground that truly can give us our blood, sweat, tears so that we become successful in what we want to do.
